Apple’s new iPad Pro is a deceptively brilliant piece of design.

From the moment you pick it up, you forget you’re holding an iPad and become fully immersed in whatever you’re doing.

The all screen display is bright, colorful, and rich, and for the first time covers almost all the front of the display.

Not having a home button does take a few moments to get used to, but for anyone coming from the latest iPhone, it’s already second nature.

Dailymail.com was able to try out the new iPad Pro during an Apple launch event in Brooklyn

One interesting point about the new screen and edge to edge design is that it makes the larger size, with a 12.9inch screen, manageable – I struggled with the older version to travel with it as it was just a little too big.

The new version however, feels smaller and almost like the ‘old’ 10.5inch design in terms of size.

Apple’s general thinning down of the design does mean the new iPad feels very different, and much more like the sheet of glass Apple wants it to be than in previous incarnations.

The newly designed pencil is also now far more useful as you can magnetically store and charge it on the side of the iPad.

The processing speed of the new Pros is astonishing – in demos I was shown picture editing and games running at a shockingly quick speed, and apple says it it now faster than most desktop and laptop PCs on the market.

Overall, the new iPads really do blur the line between devices – and for the majority of users, there really is no reason to buy a traditional laptop over the iPad, particularly as Apple has even improved it’s already great keyboard case, adding protection for the back of the device.
